The reconstructed Ishinomaki Factory begins operations
The Ishinomaki Factory suffered a lot of damage in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, and was considered for relocation in the aftermath. However, it was reconstructed near the original site due to the support the city and its people had given the company for over fifty years. The wish to contribute to the local community and its reconstruction through employment, helped with the regeneration of the area. Upon opening, it re-launched production as the key factory for the frozen food business.
