Umios Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masaru Ikemi), on the occasion of the company name change from Maruha Nichiro, has adopted newly defined Values that will be upheld across the Umios Group.
In March 2025, we established our Group Purpose and Mission, defining our core reason for being and our commitment to society. We now introduce our new Values, a set of principles that our employees are dedicated to upholding as we pursue our mission. These values reflect our identity as an ocean-based solutions company, leveraging our power of value creation to provide food that sustains the health of both people and the planet.
The Values are the culmination of six months of intensive collaboration, featuring direct dialogue between executives and staff, global idea-sharing initiatives, and comprehensive questionnaires. By engaging Group members across Japan and around the world, we have captured the authentic principles that our people carry and commit to in their daily work.
